Prof. Stephen G. Agong’, PhD, FAASVice Chancellor
Prof. Stephen G. Agong’ is the Vice Chancellor of Jaramogi Oginga University of Science and Technology, and the voice behind establishment of TVET Institute at JOOUST. The institute’s mandate includes undertaking research and innovations, developing industrial linkages and offering community service. The Directorate of TVET Institute provides foundation for the acquisition of relevant skills and competencies required by growing job market demands not only in Kenya but also elsewhere. More importantly, with the government of Kenya medium-term III plan in which TVET is considered a vehicle for Competency-based Education & Training (CBET) approach for the country’s development, the institute joins other key players in the implementation of the government priority agenda of creation of wealth.
